Also, you’ll be able to get a big discount on any other visit to the dentist for the next year!

#1. This is what you need to do. Find a participating dentist in the area where you live.

Financing Your Cosmetic Dentistry

Financing Your Cosmetic Dentistry

For many people, today’s economy can be tough. Gas and food prices are rising; the power of the dollar is falling; areas of the country are witnessing an alarming amount of foreclosed homes. The list of economic trouble goes on and on. How is one supposed to keep smiling through all of this? And, if you feel you are in need of cosmetic dentistry before you can smile, how can you even begin to contemplate something that you may consider a luxury?

Although cosmetic dental procedures have generally been thought of as only for the wealthy, the field has gone through changes where it is possible for those who don’t make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to afford cosmetic dentistry. Still, short of knocking over a liquor store or selling your kids, how does one afford cosmetic dentistry?

Many types of health insurance will cover cosmetic dentistry if it has been determined that it is for functionality rather than simply aesthetic. General dental hygiene, or procedures such as neuromuscular dentistry to relieve the pain associated with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), dental implants, or bridges may be covered. Check your health insurance provider.

Yet, many people may not have health insurance, or want to enhance their smiles aesthetically but are not able to afford the procedure, or procedures, they want. In cases of this nature, financing through the cosmetic dentist is a possibility. Companies such as Capital One offer loans of amounts up to ,000. Payment plans can be 18 to 60 months, depending on the type of loan you get. APRs are fixed and can be as low as 1.99%, or up to 23.99%.

While these are just two of the options available to finance your cosmetic dentistry, there are others. Capital One is not the only company that offers a healthcare plan. Don’t let an economic bump in the road keep you from the dental care you deserve. In the end, you’ll be happy you visited a cosmetic dentist.

If you are interested in cosmetic dental procedures, but are unsure how you can afford it, please contact Wendling Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry in the Portland, Oregon area for an initial consultation.

Dental insurance will help you minimize expenses that could occur while helping you keep your teeth and gums healthy. To find the right dental insurance you must know about the different types of dental plans that are available for individuals or groups to purchase.

As with any other type of insurance, we want to be able to afford it. The amount that you will have to pay for your dental insurance will be determined by the type of plan coverage that you elect, and how many people you want it to cover.

Discount Dental Plans Are Afforadable And Easy To Start.

PPO dental plans offer the participants a network. The network incorporates many dentists who have agreed to provide their services for a contracted price. You can visit dentists out of the network; however, you will have to pay more out of your pocket. If you visit a dentist that is in the network, you can get a better deal on your services.

Dental HMO dental plans are also referred to as pre-paid dental plans. These plans require that you choose only one dentist to coordinate all of your oral needs through. This is an affordable option for individuals and their families. There is usually no maximum on coverage. The covered party will have to pay a co-pay.

The fee for service plan resembles the PPO plan. The only difference between the two plans is that the PPO dentists get reimbursed differently. You will still be responsible for the percentage of the bill that your insurance does not cover. If your provider only covers 80%, you will be responsible for the remaining 20%. Usually, however, preventative care services are 100% covered.

Discount dental plans are also available. These plans are not insurance; they only offer you a discount on the services. If you elect to have this coverage, you will pay a monthly or annual membership fee. You have to visit the dentist that is in the network.

Discount Dental Plans Are The Perfect Solution To Your Family Dental Health

Dental plans can give you a headache just by trying to sort out all of the differences between the many different plans that are available. Now, hopefully, you can find that one plan that is right for you. Contact several different companies and compare their prices on the type of dental plan that offers the best coverage for you. By making comparisons, you will be able to find the right dental plan that offers the best coverage, at a price that you can afford.

However, all is not lost. There are dental discount plans that offer great deals on dentures and other products. Your dentist can fill you in on this option. Just ask her.

If you join a dental discount plan, you are sure to find affordable dentures. This is because a dental discount plan can give a 10% to 60% discount on your dentures. To get a dental discount plan, you need to pay an annual fee. The price can range anywhere from .00 to 0.00. The price depends on your area and the type of plan you are planning to get.

To begin with expect to pay more for a family plan than a single plan. So for example, the price of getting a full set of dentures is ,000. With a discount plan, you can get as much as a 60% discount. So you only need to pay 0.00 for the whole set of dentures. Is that a great deal or what? You were able to save more than ,000.00 for an investment of only 0.00. But think about your family. If you get a plan for your family, think of the savings on your children’s visits to the dentist!

The big discount on dentures is just one of the benefits of getting a dental discount plan. With a plan, you can also save on other services and products, including sealants, dental x-rays, crowns, and root canals.

Many people in rural areas are particularly stung by denture prices given the local economy. So a dental discount plan makes a lot of sense for people who live in the country.

So if you are seeking great dental prices, investigate a dental discount plan. You’ll be very happy with the results!

Dental Plans vs. Insurance?

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Question by Christian Atheist: Dental Plans vs. Insurance?
Up through my early 20′s, I was on my father’s state insurance (Aetna), and received amazing dental care. They were always thorough, caring, friendly, and did great work. You really can tell when they’re putting in that extra amount of care, to get something just right.

Once off his insurance, I bought a dental plan from dentalplans .com, and, despite switching dentists 3 times, received shoddy, uncaring work from ALL 3 (one Afghani, one from China, and one from India. Coincidence? I’m just saying.) They all seemed to be overloaded with patients, I felt like just a number, and the work done was not of high quality.

Are dental plans only honored by crappy dentists? What’s the reality about this?

If you Google this topic, you can tell that most of the “reviews” are clearly written in favor of the dental plans. Is this nothing more than a massive marketing campaign for a low level product that caters to dentists trained in a foreign country or something? This couldn’t be further from any sort of racist thing, I’m just going by my experiences and that’s what it seems like.
I don’t care if my dentist is from the 5th circle of Hell! I just want a good one, who cares enough to do GREAT work. And now I need to go again, so I’d like to find out what the low down is, from people in the industry.

Thanks, dentists?
